Ferry chief visits Island tomorrow

David Moseley, the new state assistant secretary of transportation and Washington State Ferries chief, has requested an open-to-the-public meeting with the local ferry advisory committee.

The meeting will take place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 3, in the multipurpose room at McMurray Middle School.

“Vashon Island being the primary ferry-dependent community in the region, we are obligated not only to ourselves to attend this meeting, but we are also obligated to David Moseley to effectively respond to his desire to meet with us personally,” said Islander Gary Sipple, who is organizing a new ferry outreach coalition.
