Barack the Vote, an event in support of Barack Obama’s campaign for the presidency, will meet in Ober Park from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 3. There will also be a voter registration booth.

Mamas for Obama bake sale

The Mamas for Obama bake sale and voter registration will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, in the Village Green. Volunteers who would like to donate tasty, well-wrapped baked goods are invited to do so before 10 a.m.

The deadline to register to vote online or by mail in Washington is Oct. 4; Saturday is the last chance before it is too late.

The Mamas for Obama will also be selling delicious baked goods to raise money for the Obama campaign.
