Vashon Film Society (VFS) will roll out the red carpet for its 18th annual Oscar Night at the Vashon Theatre on Sunday.
The gala’s festivities will begin at 4 p.m., when a vintage limo will pull up to the red carpet at the entrance of the theater. Limo rides are $10 a carload and include a photo by John Sage.
VFS members, playing the part of paparazzi, will interview and tape Vashon’s arriving stars from 4 to 5 p.m., with footage shown later on the theater’s screen.
Susan McCabe of Voice of Vashon and Maria Glanz of the Open Space will co-host the evening. The official Oscar broadcast starts at 5:30 p.m., with a costume contest occurring on the theater stage during the commercial breaks.
Tickets are available at the theater box office and Vashon Bookshop.
