Reilly and Maloney do a show at the Blue Heron
Legendary folk duo Ginny Reilly and David Maloney take to the Blue Heron stage to play at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 28. Reilly and Maloney have performed together since the 1970s and have recorded momre than 20 albums.

The Red Bike offers a weekend of music
Nancy K. Dillard, a singer/songwriter who has been compared to Lucinda Williams and Kasey Chambers, will play a free show at 8:30 p.m. Friday, March 27. All ages may attend until 10 p.m.; after that the show is for ages 21 and older.
Dub Lounge International, a roots band, will play a free show at the Bike at 9:30 p.m. Saturday, March 28. Later that evening the Bike will host an after-party for the Slaughterhouse County Roller Vixens following their performance at the “0” Space.
The latest installment of Vashon’s own “Church of Great Rain” will begin at 7 p.m. Sunday, March 29. It is free.
Film Society shows ‘Trouble the Water’
“Trouble the Water,” a harrowing look at the devastation of Hurricane Katrina and the failure of emergency management, is Vashon Film Society’s next documentary screening at 7 p.m. Sunday, March 29.

The film opens when an aspiring rapper in New Orleans decides to use her new video camera to capture Katrina. Kimberly Rivers Roberts and her husband Scott have limited supplies to face the brewing storm and no means to leave the city. The couple and their Ninth Ward neighbors are there for the rising flood waters, the breached levees and the bungled FEMA response to the flood.
“Trouble the Water” was an Academy Award nominee for Best Documentary Feature and received the Grand Jury Prize at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival.
Rick Wallace, emergency operations team lead for VashonBePrepared, will lead a post-film discussion.

Films and music at Luna
Lunavision will present “Sicko,” Michael Moore’s searing documentary about the health care industry, at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 26. Admission is free.
The café also has music on tap for the weekend. East Coast vocalist, songwriter and storyteller Jason Eisenberg will perform a free show at 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 27.
In addition to music, Eisenberg will perform some routines from the repertoire of the late humorist Lord Buckley.
Super8 and Mahoot, also known as Will van Spronsen and Camille Coldeen, will perform an evening of original music at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 28. There is no cover charge.
