Don’t miss the second and final weekend of Vashon Island Visual Artists’ Spring 2023 studio tour, running from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 13-14.
The tour, a timeless tradition on Vashon, includes 37 stops all over the island, including studios tucked away on private properties, galleries, and retail spaces.
Some of Vashon’s most venerable artists are participating in the tour — ready to welcome visitors to the place where they have lovingly created their work.
Gallery spaces on Vashon — including the new Swiftwater Gallery, boasting the work of 51 local artists — will also open their doors as part of the tour.
Galleries and businesses on the tour also include Vashon Center for the Arts, Dig Deep Gardens, Outstanding in its Field Gallery, and H.A. and Co., located in Burton.
Some tour stops boast the work of a single artist, while others offer group shows.
There’s something for everyone’s tastes and price points — from pottery to paintings to prints, sculpture, jewelry, blown glass to beeswax candles, to wearable and other fiber art — all created in the cauldron of the island’s bubbling and bright visual art scene.
