Art will be everywhere on Vashon on First Friday, and three of the exhibits are fundraisers for worthy island enterprises — Granny’s Attic Thrift Shop, the Vashon Food Bank, and the Vashon Bookmobile.
Stephanie Anne Johnson, a powerhouse Americana/blues musician from Tacoma with a dedicated fan base on Vashon, will perform at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 8, at Open Space for Arts Community.

Each year, at a gala awards dinner, the Vashon-Maury Island Garden Club recognizes notable gardeners for their outstanding horticulture practices.
The film, a festival favorite, will have its Vashon premiere on April 2.
“Alice in Wonderland,” at Vashon High School, is a demanding, boldly physical, complex and comic show, one the students have embraced as a true ensemble.
