Graham A. Parsons will perform contemporary folk music at

7:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 26, at Café Luna. Led by a guitar and versatile voice, the singer has been writing and performing songs for nearly 10 years. At the age of 16, he was cutting his teeth playing three-set gigs at the various smoky dives of Upper Michigan’s Keweenaw Peninsula. Since then he has become a mainstay in the Michigan circuit. Now, at 22, he is a co-founder of the Michigan-based band, Squeaky Clean Cretins, which has two albums to its credit.

A karaoke night will take place at Red Bicycle Bistro & Sushi starting at 9:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 26. The events is for all ages until 11 p.m., when the venue switches to ages 21 and older only.

The Church of Great Rain will take the stage at Red Bicycle Bistro & Sushi from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 27, for a high-spirited blend of music and comedy. This long-running, all-Vashon variety show is open to all ages, with the understanding that some material may be not completely suitable for the most sensitive young viewers. Admission is free.

Drama Dock will hold auditions for “The Revenge of the Dinosaur Lady” and “Oklahoma.” Actors will be able to audition for both shows during the same weekend — from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Jan. 9, and 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 10, at the Vashon High School theater. “Revenge” has three female and three male roles for young and middle-aged adults, while “Oklahoma” will boast a large cast of all ages.
