More gallery openings

The First Friday Gallery Cruise takes place from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 6.

Books by the Way: The store will show work from Andrea Braganza’s sculpture class at The Blue Heron, and Andy James will play live music.

Café Luna: Rebecca Douglas will present her Halloween photos.

Creative Preschool: Arts and crafts, refreshments and children’s art will be on display at the school, located in the basement of the Presbyterian Church.

Giraffe: The shop will feature treasures from the owner’s latest trip to Mali.

Heron’s Nest: There will be a group show of work by Jean Emmons, Will Dacus, Kristen Reitz Green and Michael Kenney. Shelly Frankel will play live music.

Silverwood Gallery: The gallery will show work by Kira Bacon, Ric Peterson, Mary Hosick, Rose Belknap, Donna Romero and Paramasivam Samanna.

Sound Food: An exhibit of photographs by Debra Paulsen will be shown, and music will be provided by Fiddle Home Farmers. Ron Irvine will host a wine tasting.

Treasure Island: A group show will feature work by Kim Buchanan, Ann Borwick, Julie Graves and Cooper Rooks.

VALISE Gallery: The gallery will present “A White Rabbit,” the sketchbooks of Adam Cone, 1989-2009, and “Beauty’s Detritus,” a mixed-media exhibit by Heather Timken.

Vashon Bookshop: Barbara Gustafson will show woven flower pockets, and Will van Spronson will play guitar.

Winterbrook Realty: Islander Duane Dietz will exhibit landscape presentation drawings.

Vashon Senior Center: Art and artifacts by older artists will celebrate the 120th anniversary of Washington statehood.

Vashon Tea Shop: The shop will show new watercolors by Ilse Reimnitz.
