Intervision brings soul to Red Bicycle
Intervision, a jazz quintet from Portland that has been compared to Steely Dan and Stevie Wonder, comes to Red Bicycle Bistro & Sushi (formerly Bishop’s) for a one-night show at 9:30 p.m. Saturday, April 5. The cover charge is $8.
The band, which combines elements of soul, rock, jazz and pop, released “Shades of Neptune” in 2007, showcasing its lead singer Paul Creighton. The Oregonian’s pop music critic, Luciana Lopez, called the disc “sweet, mellow, jazzy and soulful… And man, does it ever get in your head (and I mean that in a good way).”
Other members of the band are guitarist/vocalist Tony Stovin, keyboardist Kit Taylor, bassist Mike Glidden and drummer Jon Barber.
