Members of the Vashon Island Chorale will lift their voices in song, sharing cherished music of the holiday season, at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, and 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 11, at Vashon Center for the Arts (VCA).
The concert will include work by the English composer Ralph Vaughan Williams, including “Fantasia on Christmas Carols”, “Antiphon,” and “Benedicite.”
Soloists will include soprano Jennifer Krikawa and baritone Andrew Krikawa, co-founders and stars of Vashon Opera.
The Chorale will be joined by a string orchestra of local players, and also welcome McMurray Middle School’s youth choir to the stage for a special appearance during the program.
Wielding the baton at the concert will be the Chorale’s accomplished, longtime artistic director, Gary D. Cannon.
