Gallery Cruise: July 3

The First Friday Gallery Cruise takes place from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, July 3.

All India Café will show Douglas Mesney’s “India Collection,” illustrations inspired by his recent trip to Kashmir.

Books by the Way will show Cathleen Shattuck’s photographs of “Natural Vashon” and offer music by Splitfoot’s Mystery School.

Café Luna will host a father-daughter show by Jayne Norton and George Greedy.

Blue Heron Gallery will show a Photographers of Vashon exhibit, “Inner Vashon, An Outer View.”

Duet will show work by Michael Spakowsky and a group show of paintings and photography.

Giraffe will show Bogolan textiles from Mali.

The Hardware Store Restaurant will open “Island Waters,” a group exhibit of photography.

Heron’s Nest will display paintings by Kathleen Kinney and the VAA Community Quilt.

The Little House will show Anne Gordon’s “Vashon Visions,” and Islanders can paint their initials and a heart on the shop’s door.

The Senior Center will show paintings by students of Midge Grace.

Shady Lady will show sculptures by Steven Heino.

Shefidgets Catering at Sound Food will show art by Gunter, Hartmut and Ilsa Reimnitz. The Felt Hats will play music, and Ron Irvine will host a wine tasting. Elliot Bay Brewery beers can also be tasted.

Treasure Island will show statuary and garden art.

VALISE will open “Land/Structure/Impact,” an exhibit by HOLD Studio artists Heather Joy and Matthew Olds.

Two Wall will show work by Patti Bowman and Miriam Works and launch a treasure hunt with a display of artifacts.

Vashon Bookshop will show Mary Beba’s photographs of Monument Farm.

Vashon Community Care Center will show Hawk Jones’ photography.
