Four female singer/songwriters will team up for a blockbuster show slated for 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 16, at the Blue Heron. 

Kat Eggleston, Kate McLeod, Rose Laughlin and Julie Mainstone have all appeared on stages across the country, and they’ve all earned critical accolades for their recordings. But their Blue Heron concert will mark the first time they’ve appeared together on one stage.

Eggleston, an Island native, said that the quartet will perform an eclectic mix of songs strongly influenced by the music of Nova Scotia, America and the British Isles.

“There’s a real continuum in what we do,” said Eggleston. “We are voices that have risen out of that tradition.

The concert will also celebrate the release of new CDs by the women. McLeod and Eggleston’s new album, “Lost and Found,” will be available at the show, as will “House of Memory,” a new CD by Laughlin that was produced at Vashon’s Village Sound Studio.

Mainstone also has a new album, produced by Eggleston, that is due out this summer.
