There’s no shortage of family entertainment this weekend on Vashon, so pack up the kids and take in a show.

Enjoy ukes and stories

Lil Rev, an award-winning multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and music historian who teaches and tours nationally, will perform an all-ages show at 4 p.m. Sunday, March 27, at Vashon Theatre.

The performer’s website bills him as a “protector of old songs, poetry and stories” and says that his growing fan base is made up of “lovers of all things ukulele,

folk, old time, harmonica, Jewish music and culture, American labor history and respect for our elders.”

The show is a combination of songs, history, stories, poems, quotes and jokes — a performance style Lil Rev calls “edu-tain-ment.”

Tickets, $7 general admission and $5 for children and seniors, are on sale at Vashon Theatre’s box office.

Enter a secret garden

“The Secret Garden,” performed by professional actors from Book-It Repertory’s All Over program, will be staged at 2 p.m., Sunday, March 27, at the Blue Heron Arts Center.

The play, adapted from Frances Hodgson Burnett’s beloved book, tells the story of the transformation of a lonely, spoiled child into a thoughtful and caring young woman.

Sent to live with her brooding uncle Archibald Craven at Yorkshire’s gloomy Misselthwaite Manor, Mary Lennox suffers her new situation until she discovers the key to an unkempt garden.

The key unlocks not only the garden’s secrets, but also Mary’s capacity to learn the value of true friendship.

Geared to families with kids in kindergarten through eighth grade, this season’s final installment of Vashon Allied Arts’ Family Series will run about 45 minutes.

Don’t miss ‘Camelot’

A new production of “Camelot” — a hit Broadway musical celebrating the legend of King Arthur — will have its final performances this weekend at Vashon High School.

Dozens of teenaged thespians have worked on the show for months, and student musicians also fill the orchestra pit, playing the well-known songs of the beloved Lerner and Lowe blockbuster.

Directed by Stephen Floyd and Susan Hanson, the show stars Sage Everett as King Arthur and Anna Rose Warren as his beautiful queen, Guinevere. Marshall Montgomery plays Lancelot, the dashing French knight who arrives to serve Arthur but winds up stealing the heart of Guinevere.

Other characters in the show include an all-knowing wizard, lusty maidens, bewitching fairies and jousting knights.

Performances are at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, March 25 and 26, with $12 tickets for adults and $10 for students and seniors. A matinee will take place at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 27. All se
