Play in ‘Oklahoma’

Drama Dock is looking for musicians to play in its upcoming production of “Oklahoma.” A ensemble of winds, brass, strings, and percussion is needed, but no saxophonists are required. The show runs July 8 to 18. Call Gaye Detzer at 567-5193 or e-mail detzerubicz@comcast.net.

In the spirit of “what if everyone on Vashon read the same book,” VALISE Artist Collective and Gallery is inviting Island artists of all ages, experience levels and visions to participate in its July exhibition. Plan for a garden tour

Tickets for Vashon Allied Arts’ 20th annual garden tour, slated for June 26 and 27, are discounted $5 through May 30. After May 31, tickets are $25 per person.

See a film at Luna

“The End of the Line,” a documentary film about the impact of overfishing on the world’s oceans, will have a free screening at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 27, at Café Luna.

Shop for a good cause

Lolo Diko, an Island group promoting awareness of Roma (Gypsy) culture, will have a fundraising garage sale at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, May 29 at 23912 100th Lane S.W., in Burton.

Proceeds will go toward renovating a 14-foot caravan into a traveling museum and education center.
