One of the Island’s biggest art sales of the year will take place at Blue Heron Gallery over Memorial Day weekend.
During the three-day sale, more than 70 Island artists will offer prints, paintings, photographs, jewelry, beads, sculpture, pottery, textiles and more.
Organizers predicted the sale will have something for everyone.
“All the work will be offered at greatly reduced prices,” promised Janice Randall, who is director of communications and performing for Vashon Allied Arts.
The annual show, called “Archives — An Art Sale,” is so named because it offers artists an opportunity to release works that have been stored, packed away and never before offered for sale.
This will be the third annual “Archives” sale. The first two sales netted more than $29,000 for local artists.
Vashon Allied Arts members can attend from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 28. Non-members are welcome to join at the door.
The sale will be open to the public from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 29, and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, May 30.
