Danny Newcomb, former lead guitarist, songwriter and founder of the Seattle-based alt-rock band Goodness, currently performs his signature guitar solos with his new band The Sugar Makers. Newcomb and The Sugar Makers — featuring Rick Friel on bass, Annie O’Neill on backup vocals and Eric Eagle on drums — will play at 8:30 p.m. Friday at the Red Bike.

Music promoter Pete Welch said “Newcomb played with the best of the best in Seattle, some real heavy hitters … and still jams with them from time to time. He now makes his home here on Vashon.”

The free show is open to all until 11 p.m., then 21 and older only after that.
