This is the first letter I have written to the paper. The reason I am writing is to encourage others to vote yes on the upcoming levy for schools.

I have watched, since 1980, our school district go through its machinations and try its best to keep up with our dear students’ needs. Being a small business owner, I can appreciate the challenge of sticking to a strict budget, allowing for emergencies that come up and honoring our students with the finest education we can provide them.

Technology is something that all of us 60-year-olds have varying success at, but our youth need it critically to advance and be our leaders of tomorrow! I understand this levy will help upgrade and maintain the technology at the school. Please vote yes on the levy!
