In response to the editorial in last week’s paper, “Should commissioners get paid? We think not,” I want to say, “I absolutely agree.”

Joe Ulatoski has publicly and strongly stated that he will not accept a per diem. You can see that statement on his website: www.JoeForVashon.org in the “Joe’s News” section. Joe’s website also details his experience, philosophy and positions on other matters of concern for the entire Vashon community.

I support Joe Ulatoski because his integrity, his vision for the future and his dedication to whatever he takes on will make him an outstanding commissioner. Please join me and my husband John Gerstle in voting for him.
