All Island Forum on Feb. 27 was a fabulous evening — the most engaged I have felt with a group of adults on Vashon in 20 years here!

Bravo to Mary Shackelford, John Runyan, Amy Wolff, Doug Dolstad, Terry Sullivan and everyone else who worked on this. I was delighted to participate with 60 people expressing what matters most to us about living on Vashon.

Each voice was heard; then in groups of 12 we created five intriguing mindmaps of what’s worth working toward. I encourage folks to go to the All Island Forum’s website, www.allislandforum.org, to learn more.

I look forward to more forums and seeing how we eventually (once the ground is solid between us) move toward collective actions.
