It is never too late to say job well done.
On Dec. 19, we attended the production of “The Wizard of Oz” performed by the very talented young people of the Vashon Youth Theater and guided by Elizabeth Ripley. It was a fine performance and wonderful to see the island youth in such a positive manner. Could there be another Judy Garland in the making? This is what small town America is about.
The only downside to the evening was the doltish behavior by inconsiderate individuals of the audience who would not turn off their electronic devices after being requested to do so, which interfered with the sound system.
