I wonder if Vashon Allied Arts is open for another location for their planned performance/classroom space. I would much rather see a theater that is in the heart of the community.

The old Island Lumber property in the heart of downtown Vashon, if available, appropriate and economically feasible, would be a much better location. It is an existing building that faces the highway, and there is ample parking in the rear of the facility. It is in walking distance of most of Vashon’s stores, galleries and fine restaurants.

Our Island is already so spread apart. Locating it in the heart of town would be an economic boost to surrounding businesses and further the vibrancy that is felt on Vashon during First Friday and the music and theater in Ober Park.
