I used to be one of those people who drove too fast, tailgating everyone — basically acting like a jerk.
It finally got through my thick skull that I was not only jeopardizing the friendly vibe on our Island, but I was also risking running over someone’s dog or hitting someone’s kid.
Now I blissfully putter around at 35 mph (hint: I use my cruise control). Ironically, I now get tailgated constantly, which is (shock!) incredibly irritating. So slow down, follow the speed limit and help us “preserve our islands.”
