I have a suggestion for how our Island could be “greener.” Ban outdoor burning. More than once I’ve had to stay inside on nice sunny days because my property was filled with smoke from a neighboring brush fire. Not pleasant for pets and wildlife either. Maybe we could rethink this a little. We all try to do our best, but is it really OK to put all that smoke in the air? If possible, leave a brush pile to create habitat. If not, maybe we could find a central place to haul it. Any suggestions?
