The recent strong arm imposed on our island by King County to support a rezone of the K2 site is just the tip of the iceberg.

Many islanders are discussing the idea of forming our own city of Vashon to better control our destiny. The next logical step would likely be annexation to another county.

This entire scenario may seem radical, but as time goes on, the intrusion of King County government into our daily lives here on Vashon continues to grow.

We believe it is time to explore the viability of creating the City of Vashon.
