The miracle of birth is not actually a miracle. It is science, and it is something that most 12-year-old girls can accomplish with very little effort.

If Charles B. Lovekin is so up in arms about abortion, may I kindly remind him that he is free not to have one?

Last year, the March for Life event drew in over 650,000 participants. The costs associated with staging such an event are enormous. Imagine what 650,000 people could do if they pooled their passion and resources for something constructive for the tens of thousands of foster children in this country. Instead of marching every year, perhaps they could build functional, safe, low-income housing for all the future women who will be forced to have children they can’t afford or don’t want. Or they could create more safe havens for all the women trying to escape men who impregnate and abuse them. Or maybe they could finance state-of-the-art childcare centers across the country. How about some education and safe housing for homeless teens that have drug-addicted parents? The possibilities are endless.

Instead of marching against the world as it exists, I hope Mr. Lovekin will consider a different approach with whatever time he has left, especially with a name like Lovekin.
