R. Peter Lake, a CPA with a firm on Vashon, and Kennedy McCulloch, a CPA firm in Friday Harbor, have merged operations and formed a new company, Lake Kennedy McCulloch, CPAs, Lake announced Monday.

The merger, which went into effect Sept. 1, will enable the new firm to offer up the services of four CPAs, Lake said. At the same time, both the Vashon and Friday Harbor offices will remain open and staffed by the same individuals, he said.

“Using web-based technology, we can readily combine the talent and expertise of the two staffs to your advantage,” Lake said in a letter to his clients.

Lake has been based on Vashon for 23 years and the Kennedy McCulloch firm has been serving the San Juan Island communities for more than 25 years.
