Marie Browne and Troy Kindred, owners of the Quartermaster Inn & Restaurant, are looking for someone to take over the restaurant side of their business in Burton.
The couple say they plan to continue to run the inn and other nearby properties. But they’d like someone else to become the restaurant’s operator, Browne said, meaning that the new person would be fully in charge of the eatery.
“We’ll step out of the way and basically sublet to them,” Browne said.
Browne and Kindred have owned the business — a restaurant and inn located in a building owned by Islander Armen Yousoufian — since April 2009. The couple decided to find someone to take on the restaurant in part, Browne said, because “we’ve come to the conclusion that running an inn and a restaurant is a bit too much for two people.”
“We’re trying to enjoy life a little bit more,” she added.
