The very best schools we could afford support our community now.
The schools we afford are our investment in our children’s education and thus our well-being in the future as well as our children’s well-being.
This community can afford the bond issues before us on the ballot since we are already paying almost as much right now to patch worn-out buildings, fields and equipment. Present payments go away when payment on the new bonds kick in.
Our world is changing so rapidly, sometimes threateningly, that our children and teachers need all the help we can provide. Better learning environments and tools help them learn better to improve the world we are leaving them.
I’ve never been 100 percent satisfied with our schools, but have always found they are much, much better than any alternative suggested.
I’m voting for our kids and a better future when I vote “yes” for the school bonds. That’s how I see it.
