Coffee from Vashon Island Coffee Roasterie will soon be among the products sold by Smith Brothers Farms, a thriving dairy and home delivery service that provides products to more than 40,000 customers in the Puget Sound.
Vashon Island Coffee Roasterie coffee — from light to dark roasts as well as decaffeinated beans — will be available through Smith Brothers in December. Roasterie beans are replacing Tully’s Coffee on the Smith Brothers menu.
“We are extremely excited about this opportunity to partner with a business that shares our goal of providing customers with locally produced products of the freshest, highest quality,” said Vashon Island Coffee Roasterie owner Eva DeLoach in a press release. “Both of our companies have local roots that date back decades and focus on exceptional customer service.”
Located in Kent Valley, Smith Brothers Farms is a locally owned and operated company started in 1920. Today, it’s one of the largest independent retail delivery companies in the region, delivering milk and other products throughout the area.
Smith Brothers Farms is one of the last remaining home delivery companies in the country.
The Vashon Island Coffee Roasterie hand-roasts its coffee on Vashon. With more than 40 years of coffee roasting experience, the company produces specialty coffees made from a blend of organic, fair-trade, direct trade and traditionally grown beans.
