Tracy Spring and Larry Murante, noted Northwest singers and songwriters, will sing solo and together in an intimate concert at Vashon Cohousing Saturday night.

Spring, who lives in Bellingham, and Murante, from Seattle, are both known for their emotive singing, impressive guitar work and award-winning songwriting.

Spring has just released her fifth album, “Looking Forward — Looking Back,” which includes more than a decade’s worth of her music.

Murante combines socially conscious lyrics with an energetic folk and rock style and a high tenor voice. His third CD, “Point Of Entry,” garnered critical acclaim and radio airplay from all over the country and parts of Europe. He has also racked up a string of accolades and honors, the most recent being when he was named the grand prize winner in the folk category of the John Lennon Songwriting Contest.

Admission to the concert is by donation — a range of $8 to $15 is suggested, and beverages will be available.

The concert will be held at Vashon Cohousing’s Common House, located at 10421 S.W. Bank Road. It begins at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 30.

Parking for the show is along cohousing’s driveway and on Bank Road. A flashlight is recommended for the walk back to the car after the show.
