Our district’s mission is, “To equip every student to engage, thrive and contribute in an ever-changing world.” I believe in this promise. To fulfill it, we must partner with parents to develop youth who persevere when tasks are difficult and who aren’t afraid of making mistakes. We also should guide students to choose healthy foods and daily physical activity.

Many of our graduates compete successfully for admission to excellent colleges. We must provide support for students on a different path. Internships and work-study jobs are options we should explore further.

I believe that listening to teachers is key to successful schools. At the request of teachers, we increased paid time for them to confer and learn from each other. We also increased counselling staff.

I’m proud to have contributed to our wonderful schools. I humbly ask for your vote so I can continue making sure our mission is achieved.
