Arts events: Music on the Rock

Hobson/Person will perform from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 18, at Sound Food.

Captain Dick & the Portholes will play at 9:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 18, at Red Bicycle Bistro & Sushi. The cover charge, $4, includes a drink ticket. The show is for all ages until 11 p.m.

Free Range Folk Choir will present a free concert at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 20, at the Methodist Church. The concert will include styles from Gospel to Slavic, African to Americana.

Ken Jacobsen will play classical guitar for diners at Sound Food from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 18. He’ll also be joined by special guests for an evening of music at Red Bicycle Bistro & Sushi at 7:30 p.m. Sundy, Nov. 22.

Strange Jerome will perform at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 20, at Café Luna. The Seattle-based duo has been compared to Neko Case and Lucinda Williams. The show is free.

Hillstomp, a Portland, Ore., blues duo, will return to Red Bicycle Bistro & Sushi at 9:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21. The Island band, The Shirks, will open the show. There is a $5 cover charge, and the show is for all ages until 11 p.m.

Dented Trucks, a family blues band from Olympia, will play a free show at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, at Café Luna.

Celtic players and knitters are invited to gather at Café Luna for jigs, reels, polkas and crafting from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 22.
