Firefighters battled a residential fire on 107th Avenue S.W. late Thursday night into the early hours of Friday morning.
Seventeen firefighters and EMTs responded to the call, which was received shortly after 11 p.m. on Thursday. They were on the scene in 11 minutes, said Fire Chief Hank Lipe.
One resident was in the home at the time of the fire, but did not suffer injuries.
The fire appeared to have originated in the home’s crawl space, Lipe said, but investigators have yet to determine a cause.
Lipe said firefighters were able to save most of the structure of the home. “Most of the interior was saved … but there is very heavy smoke and water damage throughout, and the floor structure underneath is pretty extensively damaged,” he said.
