Songs of the season will get a sophisticated treatment on Sunday, when three powerhouse Seattle vocalists show up to perform a holiday show at 5 p.m. at the Open Space for Arts & Community.

The cabaret-style offering, “A Jazzy Lil’ Christmas,” will feature Victoria Wimer Contreras, Alessandra Rose and Kim Virant performing such favorites as “Oh Holy Night,” “Winter Wonderland,” “Jingle Bells,” “Silent Night,” “Santa Baby,” “White Christmas” and many more.

All three singers have distinguished resumes and are well-known in Seattle and beyond as busy recording artists, performers and songwriters.

Contreras, a singer and songwriter, first took the stage at a tender age — as a child, she studied with famed vocal coach David Kyle and sang the national anthem at Seahawks and Mariners games. Since then, she has sung with numerous bands, won many vocal competitions and shared the stage with such luminaries as Mike McCready (Pearl Jam), Duff McKagan (Guns N’ Roses), Morrisey, Collective Soul and Loudermilk.

Rose is another up-and-comer on the Seattle singer/songwriter scene, having just released her first solo album, “You Are Gold,” a collection of nine folk-pop songs. She’s recently performed at the Triple Door and Tractor Tavern in Seattle.

Varant is a rocker who has performed at many Seattle venues over the years. Her 2010 CD, “Songs from a Small House,” features assists from Island recording artist, songwriter and producer Pete Droge, as well as drummer Chris Friel and guitarist Jonathan Plum.

“A Jazzy Lil’ Christmas” is being produced by Island newcomer Debra Heesch. Her day job is booking special events and performances for Seattle Theatre Group, which runs Seattle’s Paramount, Moore and Neptune Theaters.
