More than 100 athletes competed in the XTERRA Vashon Off-Road Triathlon on Sunday, July 11, in Dockton.
Jason Jablonski of Wenatchee, who won the race last year, took first place once again with a time of 1 hour, 41 minutes.
David Cloninger and Bruce Rogers, both from Bend, Ore., finished second and third.
David Henley, the only athlete from Vashon to compete in the race, finished with a time of 2 hours, 35 minutes.
The race, which began and ended at Dockton Park, consisted of a brisk swim in the Puget Sound and a cross-country bike ride and run on Dockton roads and CalPortland and King County Park trails.
