Bill Brown, an insurance agent who owns the Brown Agency with his wife LeAnn, has become the new head of the Vashon Island Chamber of Commerce board.

He’s replacing Patty McClements, who heads Puget Sound Energy’s community office on Vashon.

Jim Marsh, the chamber’s executive director, said he’s “tickled pink” Brown has become the new chair. Brown is also a well-known island musician.

“I love that our new president is an insurance guy who sings the blues,” Marsh said.
