FRIDAY 5
Great Decisions
“U.S.-China Economic Relations: Evolving Rivalry” is the topic for the Great Decisions free current events program, facilitated by Bill Massey, at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5, at the Vashon Library.
China is booming and is poised to become the world’s third-largest economy. Should the U.S. be worried? What do you think? Bring your experience, ideas and opinions to the group. The program opens with a 30-minute video backgrounder from the Foreign Policy Association (FPA), a private foundation that has created the longest-running grassroots educational program of its kind.
It is cosponsored by the Senior Center and Friends of the Library and is open to everyone. A book of briefing materials from the FPA is available at the library reference desk.
Call the library at 463-2069 for more information.
