Sophomore cross-country runners Savannah Krug, at left, and Leigh Sheridan participated in the state meet in Pasco, placing 41st and 54th out of the 131 runners on the 1A course.

Krug’s time on the 5K course was 21:28, while Sheridan came in at 22:06.

“It was a dry, cool morning — perfect for a cross-country run,” said cross-country coach Laura Johnson. “The girls ran well and enjoyed the experience of running together with some of the fastest high school girls in the state.”
