Hats off to Scott Bonney and crew for another successful summer at the public Vashon swimming pool operated by the park district.

Scott has breathed new life into this wonderful community resource and made it into a delightful destination for all ages. Summer on the island just wouldn’t be the same without the pool.

Here’s hoping we can find a way to operate the pool year-round instead of closing the doors every Labor Day weekend.

It’s a solid investment in the health and well-being of islanders.
