Two Vashon businesses awarded in ‘Best in The PNW’ competition

They were named in the people’s choice awards publication released by The Seattle Times.

Two Vashon businesses are featured in this year’s “Best in The PNW,” a people’s choice awards publication released in September by The Seattle Times.

Snapdragon Bakery & Cafe earned a silver medal in the “Best Bakery” division. Located at 17817 Vashon Hwy SW, the bakery and cafe has a vaunted reputation for its vegetarian dishes and oversized pastries.

AYH Ranch Lodging & Campground earned a bronze medal in the “Best Family-Friendly Getaway” division. The ranch, located at 12119 SW Cove Rd, offers lodging and camping experiences.

This inaugural issue of the “Best in The PNW” publication received more than 14,000 nominations and ballots cast from 116,321 different people, according to The Times. A total of 722 businesses earned 846 awards.
