Best-selling author Jamie Ford will give a reading of his novel, “The Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet,” at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 5, at the Vashon Library, and will be available afterward to sign copies of the book.
The reading is in conjunction with the library’s Take Time to Read campaign. The book’s poster hangs on Books by the Way’s building, and the shop will have books available for purchase at the event.
“The Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet” has been on the New York Times’ bestseller list for 38 weeks. Ford’s debut novel tells the story of a Chinese-American living in Seattle. Ford grew up in Seattle and now lives in Montana.
