After a glowing 2021 premiere, Open Space for Arts & Community and Illumi-lux production company are teaming up to bring back Liquid Light — a brand new light show for all ages, at 8:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 3, at Open Space for Arts & Community.

The event is open to the community, with admission by donation at the door.

Presented by lighting artist David Marine, Liquid Light synthesizes light and music by creating glowing, abstract, real-time images with fully synchronized sound. Marine’s work will be projected on the Douglas firs on the Great Lawn of Open Space.

Liquid Laser Light premiered at Open Space in 2021. This year’s new show was originally planned for July 3 but was postponed to Sept. 3, due to inclement weather.

Gates for the show open at 7:30 p.m., when music — suitable for hanging out, visiting and early bird dancers — will be playing. The full laser show begins at 8:30 p.m. Guests are invited to bring food and non-alcoholic drinks to enjoy at the show.

Attendees are asked to please leave pets at home, but bring folding chairs, pillows and blankets, and dancing shoes.

Those with lawn chairs will be seated further back so that folks on blankets, in front, can see. Carpooling is recommended, as parking may be limited.
