Vashon Park District’s lunch-time concert series has paired with Vashon Island Growers’ Association (VIGA) this year to bring Island musicians to the Village Green.

Toons@Noon concerts take place from noon to 3 p.m. each Wednesday to complement VIGA’s newly inaugurated Wednesday Farmers’ Market. The market opens at 2 p.m. and runs to 5 p.m.

At least five farms will bring fresh produce, potted herbs, cut flowers, lavender and more to the market.

The next concert, on July 23, will feature The Elementals (Brent Magstadt & Sherry Thal), with Fletcher Anderson sitting in on drums.

On July 30, Island guitar maker Bob Krinsky, promises to “make his guitar sing the blues.”

A split bill on August 6 will feature Ken Jacobsen on electric cello and guitar and Vashon guitar legend Ron Hook.

Another split bill on August 13 will feature Tribal Voices and Rod Smith’s Song & Legend.

On Aug. 20, Robyn Landis will return with her award-winning songs and guitarist and singer Steve Amsden will close the concert season on Aug. 27.
