Patsy Ann Slagle, a former, long-time Vashon Island resident, died on Saturday, December 18, 2021, at St. Anthony’s Medical Center in Gig Harbor, WA, following a very short illness.
Ms. Slagle was born on January 14, 1931, in Seattle, WA, and spent many years there until moving to Vashon Island. She lived the past three and a half years in Port Orchard.
While living on Vashon Island, Patsy worked for many years at the Bank of America office where she so enjoyed the friendships she developed with her many customers. Patsy was also a highly devoted member of the Burton Church and thoroughly enjoyed providing flowers and cookies for the church members and even making sure that Turid Larsen had a ride to church every Sunday so that she could play the piano during services. She greatly enjoyed staying up to date on her favorite professional golfers and never missed watching the Seattle Seahawks!
Patsy is survived by her children Jeff Jones, Marta Green (Steve) and Richard Jones (Bobbie). She is also survived by her grandchildren Paul Green (Ashley), Kristin Green, Jessica Stocking (Steve), one great-granddaughter, Rhea Stocking and sister-in-law, Gracie Slagle.
Patsy was preceded in death by her parents Theodore and Martha Stocking, her sister Eileen Lathrop (Lew) and her son Ronald Jones. Patsy loved being around people, becoming friends with everyone she met. She will be deeply missed by many.
