Chamber holds meeting, workshop

The next general membership meeting of the chamber of com-merce will be at noon Thursday, April 24, at Court-house Square.

All business owners are invited to network with other businesses; everyone is always invited. Light lunch and beverages will be provided. The meeting will also include information on an its upcoming marketing workshop.

“The 90 Minute Branding and Marketing Workshop” will meet from 8:30 to 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 6, at the chamber office at Courthouse Square.

Organizers say that during the morning, participants will write a practical marketing plan for their business or organization with simple, affordable steps they can put to work.

Participants can choose between workshops for business and nonprofit groups. Both start at the same time.

Bill Hoke and Patricia Graf-Hoke will present the workshops. They are marketing professionals, entrepreneurs and community volunteers.

The cost for the workshop is $59 for active chamber members and $79 for non-members plus $12 for the accompanying workbook and action planner.
