Bob’s Bakery: Prints of Nannette Cotton Pawlowski’s drawings will be on display. Pawlowski draws comforting objects of daily life, and her prices are comforting as well — all the prints in the show cost $12.
Books by the Way: Michelle Bates’ photographs of The Moisture Festival, many featuring Island performers, will adorn the walls.
Sound Food: The eatery will feature recycled rendered metals turned into wall art by Randy Kirk. Live music plus a wine-tasting by Ron Irvine will take place from 6 to 8 p.m.
Treasure Island: Ginny Ciszek and Candy Jennings will show their hand-crafted jewelry and gift items.
Two Wall: The gallery will revisit “Viva! Vashonistas,” a fashion show presented in 2009. Photography by Jeff Dunnicliff and Anne Gordon, an installation by Jack Strubbe and live music by Nth Degree will be featured.
VALISE: The gallery will present mixed media constructions by Pascale Judet and paintings, installation and video by Jiji Saunders.
Vashon Bookshop: Three Vashon High School artists, Claire Green, Jessica Ohmert and Hailey Brock, will exhibit their artwork, and at 7 p.m., there will be a reading by The Write Sisters.
Vashon Community Care: “Perfectly Aged: Faces of Vashon” — a photo exhibit of Vashon seniors — will be on display. See story on page 1.
Vashon Senior Center: Photographs by Islander Nancy Carr will be on display.
Vashon Tea Shop: Silk paintings by Suzanna Leigh will adorn the shop. The paintings were inspired during Leigh’s recent trip to China.
