Vashon HouseHold has a unique opportunity to match your gift as we make our new Island Center Homes affordable housing project a reality.

A donor to Vashon HouseHold has put up a match challenge for up to $10,000.00 if donations are received by Sept. 10. All you need to do is send us your donation and let us know it is for Island Match or contact us if you need more information.

In addition, the Washington State Legislature set aside $10 million to help non-profit affordable housing providers like Vashon HouseHold build new low-income housing. Any gift you make to this project before Sept. 10 may also be matched by these State funds.

Your gift and its match fund will help us create the solar and rain bank systems. These innovative programs will mean that not only are we providing affordable housing, but we are doing so in an environmentally responsible way, conserving water and generating electricity from a renewable, carbon-free source.

So, if you are planning to donate to Vashon HouseHold before the end of 2019, or are inspired by the potential match, please send your donation before Sept. 10 so it may double its impact and the lives of your neighbors as they seek affordable housing with Vashon HouseHold.
