The Chautauqua Elementary School kindergarten open house will take place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 1. The kindergarten is shifting to a tuition-free, full-day program next academic year and everyone interested is urged to attend.

The open house will be broken up into three sessions which include touring classrooms and school buses, speaking with an early childhood advocate and learning about the Spanish immersion program. Families will have an opportunity to join all three sessions throughout the evening.

Current teachers Manda Long and Kelly Fox will be on hand to answer questions. The evening is designed for parents and their incoming kindergarten student, childcare cannot be provided for siblings.

Registration is encouraged at the event, but not necessary. Families can sign up at vashonsd.org/ces under the Events menu, or by calling Gillian Callison or Terri Vickers at 463-2882, ext. 0.
