Ted F. Wood, a resident in the Assisted Living apartments of the Vashon Community Care Center and a familiar sight around Vashon, died Saturday evening in Seattle following a brief illness. He was 96 years old.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 29, at the Bonney-Watson Memorial Park in Seatac.

A graveside service will follow at 1 p.m. at Acacia Memorial Park in Bothell.

There will also be a service at the Vashon Community Care Center at 3 p.m. Sunday.
