Carol Ann Alberthal
December 25, 1944 — February 11, 2016
Carol left this earth the evening of February 11, 2016, to be with the Lord. Mother, Grandmother, Sister and Friend she will be missed dearly.
Carol was born December 25, 1944, to Harry and Ruby Page in Seattle, WA. She attended Lincoln High School where she graduated in 1963. Shortly after graduation she married her high school sweetheart Richard Alberthal. They moved to Vashon in 1970 and together they had three children, Rick, Lexie and Jason.
Carol worked at Pacific Research for several years and then in 1991 received her CNA and went to work at the Vashon Community Care Center until her retirement in 2005.
Carol loved being on Vashon, she had many dear friends here. She enjoyed most having her grandchildren around her. She had a love for all animals from the big to the small. Shortly after moving to Vashon she raised St. Bernards and had many other pets, the house was never without animals. Carol also loved watching the hummingbirds on the fuchsia bush outside her bedroom window. She enjoyed shopping, gardening, reading her Bible and cooking. She truly loved cooking with her grandkids and they loved getting to spend time with her in the kitchen, especially when they got to lick the beaters and bowls.
Carol was preceded in death by both parents and her beloved dog Boo. She is survived by her son Richard (Cindy) of Orting, daughter Lexie Bridges of Graham and son Jason (Denise) of Dockton, seven grandchildren, Derek, Dallas, Danika, Angel, Colton, Michael and Jayce as well as her sisters Marlene, Pat and Virginia and her brother Gene. She is also remembered by her faithful four legged friend Cinder.
A Memorial Service will be held at
Island Funeral Service on March 12, 2016 at 1 pm.
